Description

The pianist is one of the most prominent Beethoven interpreters of our time. He gained international recognition with his complete recording of all 32 Beethoven sonatas, scheduled for 2024 at Berlin Classics. Winkelmann is especially celebrated for his fresh and unpretentious interpretation of Beethoven. He is a professor of piano in Stuttgart, artistic director of "Klassik im Klösterle," recipient of the Mozart Prize from the Stuttgart Mozart Society, and conducts masterclasses internationally.
