Modern Church Band & Voices - Benefit Concert BNN Foundation "Wir helfen"

Description

Benefit concert
Enjoy ... Pop & Gospel Saturday, December 5, 2026 7:00 PM
Doors open at 5:30 PM Karlsruhe Christmas Circus, Messplatz, Durlacher Allee 66
76137 Karlsruhe Framed by atmospheric light installations, the Modern Church Band from Karlsruhe plays many
joyful, but also contemplative classics of pop and gospel music, which set the mood for the upcoming
Christmas season. Besides interpreting the melodies, the focus is on translating their texts,
unlocking the power of composition and message. The band takes the audience on a journey of beautiful sounds, stories, and voices. With a five-piece wind section, a large rhythm group, and a vocal ensemble,
the Modern Church Band interprets the songs in an enthusiastic manner blending soul, swing, blues, and
rock, but also with symphonic elements. The two lead singers, Susanne Kunzweiler, also
longtime soloist of the Karlsruhe Police Music Corps, and Anny Maleyes, a regionally popular
wedding singer, give the concert a very special strength and expressiveness, which is rarely seen in
this versatility.
Unlike a traditional gospel choir, the Modern Church Band sparks immediately with the first song and touches the hearts of the audience. With their own empathy, they manage to bring the content of the songs so close to the audience that almost every concert ends with standing ovations. The benefit concert is organized by the BNN donation campaign "Wir helfen," which has been helping needy people in Karlsruhe and their families for decades. The proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the BNN donation campaign.
