Description
How does a work of art come into being when the sense of sight takes a back seat? This inclusive workshop invites blind, visually impaired, and sighted people to become creatively engaged together and discover art through touch. During a short tour of the exhibition «Lun Tuchnowski & Friends», we will get to know selected sculptures by the sculptor and explore them with various senses. Afterwards, we will create our own lip object from air-drying modeling clay in the art studio. The focus is on touching, shapes, and imagination. Sighted participants have the opportunity to work with an eye mask temporarily and thus discover new sensory approaches to the creative process. The workshop leader, Alina Battaglia, has many years of experience working creatively with blind and visually impaired people. With sensitivity and expertise, she creates an open atmosphere where artistic expression is possible regardless of individual conditions.
