In a unique mix of spoken word and live music, they tell of Maradona's childhood in difficult circumstances, his rise to global stardom, his escapades, drug addiction, the years in Naples and Barcelona, his retreat, his failures – and his immortal myth.
Accompanied by pianist and composer Simon Ho and bandoneon player Jonathan Blaty, whose performances capture the atmosphere of Argentina and the multifaceted nature of Maradona's life, an intense stage production full of poetry, rhythm, and emotion is created.
An evening that resonates – not only for football fans but for all who love melancholic stories.

Pedro Lenz
The writer and spoken word artist has been awarded numerous prizes for his novel "Der Goalie bin ig." His texts depict everyday life, are personal, and sprinkled with philosophical thoughts. The stories of Lenz feel so familiar and captivating because of his great skill in shaping colloquial language into literary form, rhythmically, and making it sound – creating Pedro Lenz's very own sound. Currently, Pedro Lenz is mainly touring with his program "Zärtlechi Zunge" – solo, but also in duo or trio with musical accompaniment.

Simon Ho
Simon Ho (Hostettler) is a Swiss composer and pianist. He studied composition with Pierre Boulez in Paris. His compositions have been premiered at the International Music Festivals in Lucerne, Madrid, New York, Berlin, Mexico, Buenos Aires, Cuba, and Switzerland. He has received numerous commissions for chamber orchestras, operas, children's choirs, contemporary dance and theater, contemporary classical ensembles, and film music.
