On the 50th anniversary of the Augsburg Cathedral Boys' Choir, one of the most monumental works of the Baroque period comes to Munich: Biber's "Missa Salisburgensis à 53 voci." The anniversary tour of the traditional boys' choir begins on October 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the Herkulessaal (Residenzstrasse 1– 80333 Munich) – with a lineup of European caliber. Together with the Baroque ensemble of the Bavarian State Orchestra and the internationally acclaimed ensemble Les Cornets Noirs, the Cathedral Boys' Choir presents this rarely performed sound monument for the first time in this dimension in Munich. The "Missa Salisburgensis" unfolds a breathtaking spatial splendor with two eight-part double choirs and over 40 instrumentalists. Experience a "resounding monument of High Baroque" with three ensembles that combine their expertise in historical performance practice at the highest level.
