Mirco is afraid of the dark. And therefore also of his shadow. One morning he wakes up – and the shadow is gone. But that was not the intention! Thus begins an adventurous and playful journey with many surprises, in which Mirco encounters various things. The shadow – his dark colleague – seems to be mocking him. It is everywhere and nowhere to be found, and keeps appearing in different forms. Is it him – or is it someone else? What can it do that Mirco cannot? The shadow is a jack-of-all-trades, a lovable magician. Mirco wants to benefit from the shadow's tricks. Thus, they unexpectedly become best friends… MIRCO'S SEARCH FOR THE SHADOW is a magical story about courage, imagination, and friendship.
For many years, Theater-Pack has been exploring the possibilities of contemporary shadow theatre. The essential aspect is working with various light sources. These can be moved and used in many diverse ways. They transport the audience into a world of illusions, of magical paradoxes.
