This evening is hosted by Milena, Arbi, Adna, and KruškaTV. Milena Patagônia releases her debut album ZMAJ and embarks on the DIJASPORA BABY Tour. Together with Dashcam*Devi (formerly Hatepop), a trilingual (CH-DE/BKMS/EN) music has emerged that dramatically ('Zmaj', 'irl'), self-ironically ('Dijaspora Baby'), and resolutely ('Armageddon') opens up its own diasporic world. Milena Patagônia seamlessly switches between languages, wears a costume made from her Baba Olga's crochet work, raps softly, sings crystal clear, and flirts with her audience directly into her futuristic Balkan pop universe. Migration is never just a movement from one place to another. It leaves traces that shape generations: surnames, languages, journeys 'down', memories – and a musical heritage that resonates to this day. Since the 1960s, people from the former Yugoslavia have shaped Switzerland. Statistically, one in seventeen people we encounter daily has familial roots in this area – yet their stories often remain invisible in the collective memory or are reduced to clichés. With Džuboks, we create a space to make these traces audible. We reclaim the 'Jugo' and give it our own meaning – not in the sense of a rigid identity, but as a place of memory, encounter, and exchange (often accompanied by a Raki(ja)). Musically, it traverses the world shaped by the legendary music magazine Džuboks and the sounds that have emerged between Ljubljana, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Skopje, Prishtina, and Switzerland: from Bijelo Dugme to Azra, Leb i Sol, and Bebi Dol, to younger generations like Adelina or Dubioza Kolektiv.
