A clown embarks on an improbable space odyssey: he embodies alone Captain Spirk, his spaceship, and an artificial intelligence named Martha. From credits to logbook, from asteroid crossings to encounters of the third kind, he replays the major stages of an intergalactic epic, with only a 1960s floor polisher, the mysterious Servante de fer, as his partner. Cosmogonia cheerfully contrasts the poverty of means with the exaggerated ambition of the story. Attempting to compete with Hollywood blockbusters, the clown fails, and it is precisely this that makes the show so funny, this touching fragility, deeply human, revealing our universal need to tell stories.
