Description

Mich Gerber turns the double bass into a solo voice and creates sound worlds full of magic with his distinctive style. For his project Mich Gerber All Stars Jam Band, he unites three exceptional musicians: Mahadev Cometo on the sitar, Andi Pupato (percussion), and Wolfgang Zwiauer (mandocello, bass). Together they merge Western sounds with Indian influences, grooves with improvisation, spirituality with joy of playing. What emerges is an 80-minute sound adventure – sometimes trance-like like an endless raga, sometimes energetic like a jam band. Gerber, pioneer of live sampling, transforms the double bass into an orchestral universe and takes his audience on a journey between East and West, jazz and classical, tradition and electronics. Music that inspires, surprises, and deeply moves.
