The Oratorienchor Zürich and the vocal ensemble Ars Canora will jointly perform Verdi's 'Messa da Requiem' accompanied by an opera orchestra and four soloists. This work, known for its operatic grandeur and dramatic intensity, combines the liturgical text with a full operatic orchestration, creating a work of profound spiritual and musical depth. The soloists—Marysol Schalit, Claude Eichenberger, Remy Burnens, and Seth Carico—will deliver performances reminiscent of operatic scenes, adding to the dramatic atmosphere. The concert highlights Verdi's expressive language and dramaturgy, emphasizing themes of hope, mercy, and redemption.
