Musikkollegium Winterthur is a guest in Aarau. Under the direction of Andreas Ottensamer, the concert evening opens with Schreker's Intermezzo for string orchestra in floating sound poetry. It continues with Britten's Symphony for cello and orchestra. The renowned Austrian cellist Julia Hagen will take the solo part. The evening concludes with Brahms' 2nd Symphony. Often referred to as his “Pastoral,” it combines lyrical serenity with structural depth and powerful development – a mature masterpiece full of confidence and quiet grandeur. PARTICIPANTS
