Description
By Michel Gondry. Starring Pierre Niney, Maya Gondry. Screening with presentation on September 13. Michel Gondry brings together in this cut-out animation film a series of short films made for his daughter when she was between three and nine years old. An emotional ode to DIY cinema with tape and scissors, and a self-portrait of the filmmaker as a chaotic artist: "Between each opus and in the background of the stories, populated by the Gondry family members (...), the secondary narrative of a father-artist emerges, obeying his daughter ('give me a title') as much as his impulses as an inventor. Thus, Gondry paints his self-portrait, and it is he who, in the first tale, with elastic arms and a three-day beard, plays the drums like a madman at the center of the earth, to the point of causing a disastrous earthquake" (Martin Dupuy-Noiray, www.debordements.fr, 2024). France · 2024 · 62' · original version in French - format: DC@CAP 2 – Capitole, Salle Lucienne Schnegg (CAP 2) - indicative price: 10.-
