Description
In ancient Rome, marriage was not about romantic love – it was a legal mechanism for social integration, granting women and children Roman citizenship and legal protection. At its core, marriage was a bureaucratic key to overcoming legal marginalization. Today, when marriage is used to secure residence permits, the circle closes. Freed from modern romantic notions, the institution returns to its original purpose: an "outsider" becomes a citizen, protected by the state – with family law becoming a passport for survival. In this sense, we celebrate a party – not to celebrate marriage, but to celebrate marriage as an institution in its original, fundamental state. With food and music, we invite you to join us in celebrating – for those seeking refuge, and for those providing it.
