Conversation concert on the special exhibition at Kunsthaus Zürich Even though Maria Lassnig (1919–2014) and Edvard Munch (1863–1944) are separated by more than half a century in time, there are astonishing parallels between their works and biographies. The subtitle of the exhibition "Malfluss = Lebensfluss" (Paint Flow = Life Flow) is taken from a painting by Maria Lassnig. It vividly illustrates the inseparable connection between art and life.
A connection that also applies to music to the highest degree. Like in painting, it manages to express the various levels of perception of emotional and physical sensations. The conversation concert begins with a visit to the special exhibition, ideally just before the concert. This way, the impressions are still fresh and easily connect with the concert program. Art enthusiasts will learn a lot of surprising and interesting facts about the exhibition and the performed works during the conversation between the artistic director of ZKO, Franziska Frey, and curator Dr. Sandra Gianfreda. The concert program can be found on the website of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. The ticket includes access to the special exhibition on the day of the concert (from 10 a.m. until the start of the concert). In cooperation with Kunsthaus Zürich.
