Description
Conchi tells stories between the spinning wheel and the loom – for young and old
Where the spinning wheel turns, a fairy tale journey begins. A fine thread takes shape, grows, and becomes a colorful carpet full of stories in front of the loom. With every step, this carpet unfolds further: enchanting pictures, figures, and scenes from old fairy tales appear in the embroidery, captivating both young and old.
On the tour, visitors discover how heroes and heroines from past times were dressed – brave, clever, and imaginative. It is about adventure, cunning, and courage, about outsmarting adversaries with wit, and about the magic hidden in fabrics, patterns, and stories.
This journey is accompanied by Conchi Vega, president of the Swiss Fairy Tale Society (SMG). With lively storytelling, fairy tales, and legends, she connects the historical textile craft with a world full of fantasy and emotions.
The one-hour, child-friendly tour leads through the historical world of textile craftsmanship and invites listening, marveling, and dreaming along. Afterwards, all guests are warmly invited to a small afternoon snack.
