Description
Exciting excursion through a wild romantic landscape:
Our hike starts in Elm at the valley station of the Tschinglenbahn. The exposed path leads us through the impressive Tschinglen Gorge. How was this gorge formed? And what kind of rock are we moving on? After 444 meters of elevation gain, we reach the Tschinglenalp - here the terrain opens up and maybe we treat ourselves to a coffee at the Tschinglenbeizli. The landscape is wild-romantic and we continue hiking towards Firstboden. Above the Plattenberg wall, the Elmer rockslide will be our topic. Further on the Firstboden, we are rewarded with a magnificent view of the Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch. Here we enjoy an extended break - always with the magical line in sight - what could it be about? We descend to the Tschinglenalp by a different route, from where the cable car takes us back to the valley.
In this exciting way, the scenic hike takes about 6-7 hours.
Pure walking time 3.5 hours.
Surefootedness and a head for heights, difficulty level SAC hiking scale T3
