An evening titled Magical Night will draw you into the world of great film stories – a world where music is not just an accompaniment, but the main hero. It brings the best of the work of the legendary composer Hans Zimmer – the creator of iconic soundtracks for films such as Gladiator, Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, The Lion King, and many more. The piano soloist will be Ivan Vokáč, one of the most talented Czech cellists and pianists, who will showcase his top-notch playing on both instruments during the concert. He is a laureate of several international performance competitions - for example, he achieved absolute victory with violinist Jakub Junek at the radio competition Concertino Praga 2006. In 2010, he won a scholarship competition organized by the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe, and in 2012, as a semifinalist, he became the most successful Czech participant in the international competition Prague Spring. He is also a proud member of the ensemble Cello Republic, which was formed from the original members of the well-known Prague Cello Quartet and has already performed many concerts not only in Europe. The string quintet under the baton of Vít Chudý will add richness of tones and harmonies that perfectly complement the piano lines, for which Hans Zimmer's music is known worldwide. The special guests and highlights of the evening are the phenomenal vocalists Eliška Malík Machačová and Milan Devinne, prominent figures in the Czech music scene, who will showcase their vocal artistry in several selected pieces.
