For five years, young director Pepa Lubojacki recorded the emotional stories of her own family. Why did addiction take away her beloved brother and two cousins' relationships, sense of security, health, and roof over their heads? And what if it’s not the addiction itself, but something that started much earlier? An unconventional mix of intimate diary footage, animated photographs, stylized memories, and graphic collages makes the film an original experience that is both raw and playful. As a director and sister, Pepa faces a question that has no easy answer: where does love end and control begin? To save or to let go? This brutally honest film won the award for Best Documentary at Berlinale.
