Description

When M. Byrd first became a father, he found himself in a place completely unfamiliar to him. Fully immersed in the moment, the German singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer channels this energy into his upcoming 2025 album *A Better Place* [Nettwerk]. He took the first step on this ongoing journey as a music-loving child in Germany. In 2020, he introduced his sound with the single "Mountain," which surpassed 10.9 million Spotify streams and paved the way for the *Orion* EP. The latter included another fan favorite, "Morning Sun," which recorded 6.2 million Spotify streams. In 2023, he released his first full studio album, *The Seed*. Along this path, he received praise from scene experts and media such as EUPHORIA., 1883 Magazine, OnesToWatch, and others. Around the same time, the beginning of his fatherhood turned his world upside down — in the very best sense. This essentially divided the creation process of *A Better Place* into two halves — physically symbolized by his family's move from Hamburg to Denmark. "There are all these songs from before the birth and all these songs from after the birth," he affirms. "I was able to reflect on myself and what was happening. I said goodbye to many friends in Hamburg and started a new life in Denmark. All these changes took place, and I really tried to capture them in songs so I could carry them with me forever." Ultimately, M. Byrd provides the soundtrack to perhaps the most universal experience of all: change.
