Because good art, when looked at closely, almost always tells of the effort to succeed, and often of failure. But failure is naturally never just funny. And at best from a distance. And failure in what? Circumstances, personal inadequacy, fate? Two sentences about failure are handed down from Samuel Beckett, the world star of failure: "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter." And: "Try again. Fail again. Fail better." What if artists were invited to tell about their own failures? This happened last year, when indeed the host Rocko Schamoni, Charlotte Brandi, and Joachim Meyerhoff candidly shared their failures and were celebrated in a sold-out theater: successful failure, so to speak. And Rocko Schamoni announced: "I am happy to do this again!" Now the time has come, and his guests this time are: Christiane Rösinger, a sought-after and very special artist: as a musician ("Britta"; various solo albums), journalist (focusing on pop culture), and author. Her book "The Joy of Aging" (2026) has just been published. Thomas von Steinaecker is also a multi-talent: he makes films for 3SAT and Arte, radio plays for Deutschlandfunk and Bayerischer Rundfunk; he writes novels (his latest, "Schwestern," will be published in early September) and is the ultimate expert on failure: "Ende offen. Das Buch der gescheiterten Kunstwerke" (2021). Fritzi Ernst lives as a musician, composer, and songwriter in Hamburg. She releases solo albums and recently brought out the definitive party anthem "Introvert Memes." The host is Rocko Schamoni (longtime "Pudel Club" and still "Studio Braun" as well as a published author).
