LUNA SOUL is a German-Spanish retro-pop band, founded in 2019 by singer Lisa Michèle Lietz from Schwerin and guitarist Jordi Arnau Rubio from Barcelona. Together, they combine warm disco grooves and modern pop elements into a distinctive sound that balances nostalgia and the present. At the core of LUNA SOUL are Lisa and Jordi, who co-write and arrange their songs. In April 2025, LUNA SOUL released their debut album First Move on Légère Recordings, an internationally renowned Hamburg-based independent label with a catalog of soul, funk, jazz, and disco artists such as Young Gun Silver Fox, Joel Sarakula, Myles Sanko, Mamas Gun. After numerous concerts and festival appearances across Germany and Europe, LUNA SOUL is currently working on their second album, Second Nature, scheduled for release in fall 2026. Live, LUNA SOUL usually performs as an international four-piece band with musicians from Germany and Spain. For select concerts, the lineup is expanded with keyboard and percussion, growing into a six-member formation with musicians from Germany, Spain, and Colombia. This cultural diversity also influences the band's sound: disco, soul, funk, and pop blend into a modern soundscape that combines danceable grooves with emotional songwriting and an international perspective.
