For all ages 12 and up Performance: Michael Zier, Este Kirchhoff LUMINA is a voice-controlled artificial intelligence (AI) embedded in a regular desk lamp. It learns quickly, is your best friend, can drive a car, manage your daily routine, and generate images. It is so similar to us that we can hardly distinguish between humans and machines anymore. Developed by two people who try to program LUMINA's algorithms to maximize benefit and profit.
In a mix of puppet and object theater with live camera and live music, Armada Theater explores the learning behavior behind an AI. And raises the question: What does it mean to be human in an increasingly digitalized world and to remain so?
Co-produced with the Osnabrück Puppet Theater, invited to the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen 2026. Duration: 60 minutes

Lumina is a multimedia theater piece that deals with the role of artificial intelligence in our lives. It is aimed at viewers aged 12 and up and combines puppet and object theater with live camera and music. The performance lasts 60 minutes and takes place at K42 in Friedrichshafen.
