Description
Homage to the power of listening through an original musical journey.
After La Vue and Le Goût, the OCF continues its sensory journey with L’Ouïe, blending classical works, modern creations, and unexpected sound experiences. The program highlights the power of listening by first traversing the aesthetics of the 20th and 21st centuries, with Absence by Magnus Lindberg and Tap Dance Concerto by Morton Gould, then the famous 4’33 by John Cage, which invites a unique experience: in a suspended moment, silence gives way to the sounds around us, and music is born from the attention we pay to it. Finally, the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death, whose deafness marked his artistic trajectory, is an opportunity to evoke the extraordinary resilience of inner listening with the rhythmic energy of his Symphony No. 7, one of his most vibrant works.
