On the occasion of the 20th anniversary, the theater makes the puppets dance! Immerse yourself in the eventful history of a dance hall on the German-French border – a place full of memories, emotions, and encounters. "Lonely Hearts" tells the lively past of this special place and the people who visited it through dance and song without words. A place that has swung back and forth between the countries over the decades. From the lively 1920s to today, the audience is taken on a fascinating journey through time: from the elegant ballroom to the vibrant disco to today's cultural meeting point. The piece tells of the people who shaped this place – Germans, French, Italian guest workers in the 60s and 70s, Russian operators in the 90s, as well as the dark chapters of World War II. It is a loving homage to the eventful history and cultural diversity of our border region. "Lonely Hearts" captivates with its unique blend of movement, music, and puppet theater. This panorama full of quirky characters is performed by seven actors, directed by Diana Zöller. On the 20th anniversary, the ensemble once again manages, with "Lonely Hearts," to creatively overcome the boundaries between past and present, between countries and cultures with a light touch.
