Live: Karli (Vinyl release; Winti)

Between LoFi-Folk, Bedroom Pop, and Anti-Chanson, Friday 30.10.26
Doors open at 19:30, concert at 20:00
Admission: CHF 30 (regular) / CHF 35 (support) / CHF 25 (Generator:in) / CHF 15 (Kulturlegi) - Come, illustrious figures with aesthetic interests. We are releasing a vinyl. Featuring: a Winterthur songwriter who collects everyday moments like old receipts, and a Zurich keyboardist with a fine sense for quirky beauties. In the lineup: a freshly pressed vinyl album with twelve new dialect songs. Finds that illuminate the mundane, somewhere between dry humor, gentle melancholy, and a strange comfort.
Tremolo guitars flicker like memories from old Super-8 films, synthesizer lines weave through the songs, and suddenly an Omnichord appears like a forgotten toy from the future. A trumpet briefly ventures into the spotlight.
Musically, the whole thing moves between LoFi-Folk, Bedroom Pop, and Anti-Chanson. Sometimes minimal and warm, then quirky and playful, always surprisingly direct. Featuring Reto Karli and Dominic Bretscher. Also performing: Three Headed Lady:
A Buddy Holly impersonator who learned guitar in the desert, a clairvoyant country singer with a penchant for A minor, and an enlightened cineaste lost in the hypnotic blinking lights of her synthesizer. The band Three Headed Lady has enough personalities for a whole shipload of stories, melodies, and feelings. Devilishly beautiful guitar riffs paint unrestrainedly beyond the vocals, and some choir-like voices wave from the roadside of the passing drum machine.
With Rita Peter, Nico Feer, and Liliane Hollinger. The evening is rounded off by Herr Denzler behind the decks. - https://karlimusik.com/
