Little Bridge - Emergency Aid in Armenia

For over forty years, the Bündner Landeskirche has launched a collection during Pentecost for the benefit of an ecumenical project: the Pentecost project. The Pentecost project was initiated in 1987 by various Bündner colloquia. The idea behind it is to jointly take responsibility for minority churches worldwide that need support. As the current Pentecost project, the church-wide "Commission Worldwide Church" proposed the "Emergency Aid in Armenia" project by the Little Bridge association. Kathrin Ritzi, president of the Little Bridge association, created a program with three focal points for the three-year Pentecost project phase in cooperation with the Migration and Worldwide Church office. The Pentecost project 2026 – 2028. As a mountain canton, Graubünden shares many connections with the mountainous region of Armenia. One example is sheep farming. In Armenia, six sheep sustainably secure a family's survival. The opening event on Pentecost Sunday, May 24, 2026, takes place as part of the Pentecost festival of the Heinzenberg-Domleschg church region in the mountain village of Präz. Pentecost 2026: Agriculture. Introduction to the "Giving Sheep" project of the Little Bridge association within the framework of the Pentecost festival in Präz, communal lunch, product sales from the projects. Pentecost 2027: Culture. Armenia's churches and monasteries are witnesses of ancient Armenian architecture. Armenia, once a great kingdom, has made a significant contribution to world cultural heritage. The Pentecost service takes place in the Reformed Church Chur in the Commander Center. Armenian barbecue, music, and dance. Pentecost 2028: Exchange. At the conclusion of the Pentecost project, a project trip to Armenia takes place. We get to know the country and people and see how projects are implemented. Armenian project leaders come on a working visit to Graubünden, visit agricultural businesses. Armenian concert and Pentecost service in Ilanz. Religious and confirmation/adult education: Circle dances are an important part of Armenian culture. They symbolize community and strength. Circle dance workshop with roundabout for young and old.

• Teaching unit for confirmands on the topic of war and peace.

• Guest lectures and storytelling afternoons with experts.

• Confirmation trip to Armenia with a visit to the therapy center "Next to You" for youth with disabilities. Participation in children's programs. Service:
