LITERATURE AT THE HOTEL – SWISS BOOK PRIZE
Two of the nominees present their books The Literature House series at Hamburg's most beautiful literature hotel features Swiss authors and their new releases. Of course, the event for the Swiss Book Prize cannot be missing in the fall. The nominees will be announced only on September 10. What we already know: Two of the nominees will make a stop at Hotel Wedina during their reading tour. The shortlist highlights five special titles from the Swiss literary landscape. A total of around 90 narrative and essayistic works are competing for the prestigious award; they were discussed by a five-member jury consisting of Tim Felchlin, Simone Nuber, Benjamin Schlüer, Silvia Süess, and Manuela Waeber. On the Literature House website, you will learn in mid-September who will be featured at Hotel Wedina. The award ceremony will take place on November 15 during the International Literature Festival BuchBasel at Theater Basel. Recently, Dorothee Elmiger was awarded for "Die Holländerinnen" (2025) and Zora del Buono for "Seinetwegen" (2024).
