Description
Lilly is a princess and, to the annoyance of her nanny Albertine, not what one usually imagines a princess to be. Instead of walking through ballrooms in a gown of finest silk and a glittering crown, the two trudge wet and muddy through the underbrush, as Lilly wants to participate in a sword fighting championship without her royal father's knowledge. But then robbers cross their path and, despite Lilly's resistance, they and Albertine end up without their luggage. Luckily, they pass a castle. What they don't suspect is that Prince Lucas, who lives in this castle with his father, is on the lookout for a bride and has not been able to win the heart of any princess so far. Sleeping Beauty yawns too much at him, and he finds Cinderella silly because she keeps losing her shoe. He wants a princess with whom he can also talk about sword fights, like Lilly. Now one might think that the fairy tale ends with Lilly's arrival at the castle. But far from it, because before the happy ending, things get quite turbulent. First, the court magician, Master Theobald, must regain his magical powers so he can turn the king's enchanted servant back, and then the strict secretary and the king must be convinced that Lilly is truly a real princess. And then, there's still this pea that keeps Lilly from sleeping well. A production of the Burghofbühne Dinslaken. Additional information:
