Love as a political act Reading The reading series Love as a political act was started three years ago with the work of bell hooks, one of the pioneers of black feminism and anti-racism. It was followed by presentations of works by Audre Lorde, Angela Davis, Lady Bitch Ray, Roxane Gay, and others. This season, we also want to engage with works by theorists who deal with the topics of race, gender, and class, and show how different forms of discrimination are interconnected. The focus is always on love, because its transformative power can help radically change society.
