Čapek, Bass, Poláček, Mahen, Peroutka, Vaculík… just a brief list of personalities inextricably linked to Lidové noviny. Kalenská, Levínský, Lagronová, Baldýnský, Vůjtek, Stančík… just a brief list of contemporary Czech authors who contributed to the scenic collage exploring the phenomenon that survived the protectorate and communism but succumbed last year. The newspaper, founded more than one hundred thirty years ago in Brno, will serve as a springboard for director Radovan Lipus, co-author of similarly conceived theatrical hits Průběžná O(s)trava krve and Těšínské nebe, for an original production about the disappearance of the printed world, the fading of a certain part of culture, and the interruption of traditions.
