Description
Wide awake and sparkling, the Schwyz native Graziella Contratto brings to life before our eyes the eventful upbringing between apartment block, May devotion, and pagan customs. In this life world richly peppered with church and pagan customs, the growth of a young girl takes place, whose family structure dangerously falters. After stops in Berlin, Salzburg, and Lyon, she became the first female chief conductor in France and performed as a guest conductor throughout Europe and the USA. She is closely connected with Lachen and the composer Joachim Raff. "Meitsch" is her literary debut.
