Being constantly reachable was yesterday. Lennart Schilgen returns with his third program – and shines through absence. When he's not giving concerts and winning small art prizes (Prix Pantheon, Stuttgarter Besen, etc.), he mainly does one thing: himself. Among other things, he goes on bike tours, to monasteries, and to the communist summer camp. Or just into the depths of his thoughts, which is often adventurous enough. Out come songs about the detours and shortcuts in the world and in his own mind. Full of lightness and wit, but also without fear of addressing dark corners. This time, some long-buried things are brought to light: the old PUR cassette. The elementary school reports. The story with the night bus stop. Fortunately, Schilgen safely crosses every abyss – carried by his skilled piano and guitar playing, his voice, and his "alert mind, with heart and humor and sneaky punchlines" (laudation for the 'Tuttlinger Krähe'). And if all else fails, there are always the poems: small, linguistic wonder bags, deeply silly, highly artistic. The recently published "Collected Works" are, if I may briefly mention, already something like a bestseller in poetry volume standards. Any questions? Then feel free to email him anytime.
