Lena Violetta Leitner: Para(rt)sitic Protection Society (PPS)

Description

Building on her residency in 2024, Lena Violetta Leitner further develops the institution Para(rt)sitic Protection Society (PPS) for her solo exhibition in Nairs. The project understands parasitic strategies not as exploitative, but as creative, subversive forms of relationships with artistic and societal potential. The exhibition invites interaction through an information terminal, a chatbot, as well as rest and training stations. Inspired by behaviors through which parasites gain access, efficiently utilize resources, and subtly influence hosts, visitors are encouraged to experiment with movements, postures, and states that evade immediate utility – but may bring about long-term change.
