Laura Misch grew up in London and is a saxophonist, singer-songwriter, and electronic producer. Her artistic work is characterized by elemental themes, archaic rhythms, and floating soundscapes. In her current work, she combines her three central forms of expression – saxophone, voice, and electronic sound design – into new music that will be performed and released in 2026. She expands her electroacoustic palette and is inspired by a line of female pioneers of electronic music. At the center is a performance dedicated to the ancient sounds of air, water, and stone, inviting deep listening and contemplative experience through songs and layered sound spaces. Her 2024 project Sample The Earth, which was listed among the Guardian's "Top 10 Contemporary Albums of 2024," followed her acclaimed debut Sample The Sky and the self-produced EPs Playground and Lonely City. Together, these works form a multifaceted oeuvre rooted in mindfulness, connectedness, and a keen sense of sonic spaces. Beyond the studio, her practice unfolds: Misch leads sound walks, creates immersive "Cloud Baths" in unused spaces, and collaborates with the eco-social design studio Holobiont to bring her music back into the natural environments that inspire her. Her latest Slow Tour is conceived as a visionary reinterpretation of touring – a synergy of ecology, reflection, and community, emphasizing collective listening as a shared experience.
