Conductor: Mario Hartmuth With the new season, the Landesjugendorchester Baden-Württemberg begins under the direction of renowned conductor Mario Hartmuth and presents outstanding masterpieces of symphonic classical music. Since 1972, the LJO has captivated audiences and critics alike with great joy of playing, high musical quality, and impressive interpretations. As a selection orchestra, it brings together the best young talents of the state aged 13 to 20 and is one of the most important institutions for top-level support in Baden-Württemberg. With more than 80 performances in Baden-Württemberg as well as international tours through Europe, Africa, and South America, the orchestra has a broad concert activity. With Mario Hartmuth, a versatile and sought-after conductor, at the podium, who since the 2024/25 season has been shaping the Niedersächsische Staatstheater Hannover as First Kapellmeister and Deputy General Music Director. Guest engagements at major opera houses and festivals, as well as his activity as artistic director of the German Children's Orchestra, underline his artistic versatility. Photos:
