Description

Formed in 1980 in the then Yugoslavian Trbovlje and later co-founders and musical arm of the interdisciplinary art collective Neue Slovenische Kunst (NSK), Laibach has always been on very independent, surprising, and always equally profound and highly controversial paths. Their epic opus, which has grown over the years, reliably provokes both admiration and bewilderment. After 2019 with "The Sound of Music" and 2024 with "Opus Dei Revisited," they return to us at Gaswerk in 2027, this time with "MUSICK," their first new studio album since 2014, released in spring 2026. Musically, it features unprecedented influences from K-Pop and Eurodance combined with Mozart and AI algorithms, and a number of guest musicians are involved: Ghanaian singer Wiyaala, longtime companion Donna Marina Martensson, producer Richard X, and others — and the first single "Allgorhythm" almost made it to Eurovision honors. Quite something! We are excited about the new live show and already looking forward to it!
