La Nuit est belle

On the occasion of the 6th edition of La Nuit est belle, the Museum of the History of Science invites the public to discover the night through the guiding thread of water. Rivers, lakes, streams, wetlands, and landscapes shaped by water become entry points to explore the natural, cultural, and sensitive riches of the night. This festive and educational event aims to raise awareness among the public about the impacts of light pollution caused by excessive artificial lighting. It encourages everyone to adapt their behaviors and daily practices to better preserve the nocturnal environment. From 6 PM to 10 PM, enjoy a varied, free, and accessible program for all: - draw and color animals of the Rhône and Arve - participate in a sensory yoga workshop to tame the night and sleep - explore the lights of the lake and their stories - help animals gather in a giant board game - discover moths and the effects of light pollution - let yourself be carried away by a musical journey into the heart of the night - create your portrait under a starry sky - observe the stars with the Geneva Astronomical Society - participate in storybook readings around the theme "La Nuit est belle!".
