Kurt Marti, Maria Magdalena & Co

Description

In a time that almost only knows the visible and measurable, this theater evening tells of the longing for meaning, love, and the infinite. During a seemingly ordinary blind date, Marie, a psychotherapist, and Georg, a meteorologist who spent time in a monastery after a personal breakdown, meet. From cautious getting to know each other, a conversation about spirituality, science, loneliness, and the big questions of life develops. Between quantum physics, Kurt Marti's poetry, and memories of Maria Magdalena, acting, music, poems, and songs intertwine, blurring the boundaries between therapy, encounter, and vision. The Cie. alpenseensehnen seeks texts that allow musicality in their performances. They have found not only a dialogue between a woman and a man and an exciting dramatic constellation but also songs and poems. For example, by Kurt Marti, a pastor and poet. But also by Mani Matter, and more. Text: Ueli Greminger
Performance: Irina Ungureanu and Michael Wolf
Direction: Stephan Roppel
Lighting: Michael Omlin
Dramaturgy and production: Matthias Wyssmann
