She has released more than two dozen albums as a bandleader or co-leader and has worked with artists such as Dave Holland, Terri Lyne Carrington, John Zorn, Tyshawn Sorey, Craig Taborn, Ingrid Laubrock, and Esperanza Spalding. Her album Diatom Ribbons was chosen as Jazz Album of the Year by both the New York Times and the NPR Jazz Critics Poll. In addition to her concert activities, she runs the independent label Pyroclastic Records, supports young musicians at the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, and is a Steinway Artist, recognized internationally as one of the outstanding pianists of her generation.
