Description

In the exhibition «Kreislauf», two artists meet who deal with order, sequence, and circulation. Lea Vetter (*1995, Bern) mainly works with wax. With this malleable material, she creates surprising objects – such as sinks through which water flows – that impress with their lightness and craftsmanship precision. Hansruedi Steiner (*1952, Aarau) works with various types of wood and complements them with different materials such as paper, stone, or rubber. By drilling, carving, and milling boxwood and plane tree, linden, or maple, delicate constructions arise that reveal fine lines and open the inner space of the material. In the dialogue between Vetter's soft, light wax and Steiner's solid, colorful wood, tension-filled contrasts emerge that make the exhibition's cycle concept visible.
