Description

Based on the children's picture book «Mit Papa im Zoo» by Coralie Saudo and Kris di Giacomo (Aladin Verlag), dancer and performer Naomi Schwarz and musician Christoph Luchsinger go on a zoo visit. However, this turns out to be very different from what was expected, because going to the zoo with dad is no child's play... During this zoo visit, everything becomes music. Together with the children, the organizers discover how everyday objects can become instruments. Using these and other wind instruments, as well as dance and movement, they transform the zoo into a sound world and experience the story «Mit Papa im Zoo – and everything turns into lively music!» The Weinfelden musician Christoph Luchsinger, after studying trumpet in Zurich and Freiburg i. Br., attended various master classes and completed a wind orchestra conducting course in Bern. As a versatile trumpeter, he dedicates himself to new music, free improvisation, and the development of innovative teaching concepts. Since 2021, Christoph Luchsinger has organized his own concert series with NŒISE in the canton of Thurgau. He works as a trumpet teacher and co-director at the Weinfelden Music School and performs as a soloist and guest musician domestically and abroad. www.noise.ch The Thurgau dancer, performance artist, and dance educator Naomi Schwarz completed her training at the Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in the Netherlands. She has presented her choreographic works at Tanzunplugged Winterthur, the Open Stage St. Gallen, at Codarts Rotterdam University, at Rigolo Dance Theatre, and at other festivals. After earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Dance Politics and Sociology at Roehampton University in London and a Bachelor's degree at the University of Teacher Education St. Gallen, Naomi Schwarz is currently involved in several interdisciplinary projects both domestically and abroad. The Crib Concerts of SMPV Thurgau offer families the opportunity to attend age-appropriate concerts with their children from 0 years old, where they can move freely and play. The concerts are intended both for listening and to encourage children to participate through rhythmic movements. The Swiss Music Pedagogical Association SMPV has been promoting musical education and the interests of music teachers for 130 years.
