Concert Symphonic Brass Project

Description

The Symphonic Brass Project is visiting St. Moritz for the 14th time and will give two concerts at the end of their rehearsal days in St. Moritz and Rüti ZH. The concerted wind music performed and presented is rarely heard due to the technical demands and the instrumentation for a large brass ensemble and percussion. This year, they are expecting an entertaining program from various stylistic periods with works by composers Byrd, Wagner, McBeths, Huber, and Bruckner, which will surprise the audience with sacred sounds, solo and rhythmic passages, and a symphonic richness of sound. The musical direction has been in the hands of Swiss conductor and composer Thomas Trachsel for thirteen years.
