Winterreise by Franz Schubert is one of the most famous song cycles of the Romantic era, consisting of a sequence of 24 songs based on poems by Wilhelm Müller. They depict an imaginary journey through a winter night. The work is considered a great challenge both technically and interpretatively for singers and pianists. Mattias Müller-Arpagaus is a sought-after soloist in sacred works and opera productions. In Graubünden, he regularly performs at song evenings, most recently with Schubert's “Die schöne Müllerin” and cycles by Mahler and Beethoven. He is accompanied on the piano by Duri Collenberg.
