The Baar Chamber Orchestra presents an evening of timeless and emotionally profound compositions, blending late Romanticism with contemporary sounds. The program includes Suk's meditation on the old Bohemian choral 'St. Wenzel,' Vasks' Viola Concerto from 2015, Larsson's Little Serenade, and Sibelius's Valse triste and Suite caractéristique. Led by conductor David Hubov and featuring violist Vladimir Kharatyan, the concert explores a spectrum of musical language from nostalgic romanticism to modern expression, culminating in Vasks' emotionally evocative piece that guides the audience from darkness into light.
