Description
Saturday, October 31, 2026, 7:00 PM, Reformed Church Hinwil The Harmony at Bachtel, conducted by Markus Steimen, invites you to a concert dedicated to nature in its most beautiful and powerful form – from tranquil Alpine valleys to volcanic eruptions. The dramatic piece "Vesuvius" by Frank Ticheli references the eruption of 79 AD that destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum, building tension with driving rhythms leading up to an explosive finale. It becomes calmer with "Swiss Mountain Village" by Mario Bürki, which features gentle melodies that bring the Valais mountain village Törbel and its water mills to life. Also among the highlights is "Eiger – A Journey to the Summit" by James Swearingen, which musically narrates a daring ascent – simply breathtaking. Admission is free, donations accepted. Afterwards, the Harmony invites you to a cozy conclusion at the parish hall.
