Oh, she can't remember ordering anything and is quite surprised when suddenly a child appears before her. But Konrad is not just any child, he is the perfect child. Always polite, tidy, and well-behaved, he is, according to the packaging instructions, Frau Bartolotti's brand-new son from the can. How is that supposed to work? Well, with lots of love, of course! Frau Bartolotti, her friend Egon, and Kitti, the neighbor's child, immediately take Konrad into their hearts. And that's exactly why they must prevent the curious people from the canned food factory from retrieving Konrad and handing him over to his rightful owner. How are they supposed to do that? Luckily, Kitti has a brilliant idea: Konrad must stop being "good"! Christine Nöstlinger's children's book classic from the 1970s is still a humorous plea against conformity and performance pressure and for perfectly imperfect children and adults today as it was then.
