The country is bankrupt and Emperor Klemens can no longer sleep. His ostentatious clothes already haunt him in his dreams at night. Seamstress Elsa and weaver Walter are desperately waiting for their money. But necessity is the mother of invention! And suddenly, two experts in magical-fashionable majesty garments appear in the palace. They promise especially magnificent clothes that remain invisible to people who are stupid or unfit for their office. The emperor is delighted... In colorful costume art, fairy-tale tension, and captivating music, the audience sees the magnificent clothes come alive in the dream of the majesty and experiences how, in the end, the clothes-addicted, shy emperor is redeemed through a trick and a small child.
