Who owns the space we live in? Who owns the present – and who is allowed and able to shape it? Nine actors from the Komiktheater, together with musician Hans-Jakob Mühlethaler and director Nele Jahnke, explore these questions. The starting point are two texts by Franz Hohler: In "Die Rückeroberung" nature and animals reclaim the city, and in "Ist hier noch frei?" a chance encounter in a guesthouse turns into a humorous yet clever conversation about habits, everyday life, and coexistence. From this, the ensemble develops their own songs, new scenes, and self-written texts during rehearsals. With powerful electric guitars, poetic images, and danced tradition, a lively theater piece full of energy emerges. The Komiktheater of GHG Sonnenhalde Tandem is the first and only professional theater in Eastern Switzerland with actors with support needs. Since its founding in 2017, the ensemble has been rehearsing and working in St. Gallen, developing their own professional plays with humor and high artistic quality, which are performed on theater stages throughout Switzerland. It stands for multi-voiced stage work, where personality and expressiveness are central. This is also where "Ist hier noch frei?" derives its special energy: as a distinctive, musical, and humorous production about what divides us, connects us, and continually brings us together.
