Tour: Cooking in the Klingentalkloster. A look into the medieval monastery kitchen Dive into the world of medieval monastic life! During this tour, the construction researcher Frank Löbbecke and art historian Eva Renz will take you into the still partially preserved kitchen of the former Klingentalkloster. They will tell you how cooking was done there in the 13th century and what dishes came to the nuns' table. Discover the traces of the old cooking stove and architectural details that still testify to cooking in Klingental today. The kitchen was state-of-the-art, equipped with a huge chimney hood and running water. During the tour, you will also see the late Gothic dining hall, the storage cellar, and the industrial canal where the monastery's own mills were located.
