A varied day program combines musical sounds, regional cuisine, and a guided nature hike in the Tannzapfenland. Concert in the Upper Choir
The approximately 30-minute short concert offers atmospheric, folk sounds in the historic choir stalls with a view of the 260-year-old Aichgasser organ and its 2,265 organ pipes. Marie-Louise Eberhard on the organ and Köbi Hug with natural yodeling shape the program alternately and in interplay. 3-course menu Monastery & Nature (12:15 to 14:00) Starter: Lamb's lettuce salad with apple cider dressing, fried pumpkin, bacon, croutons, sprouts, and seeds Main course: Braised monastery beef roast with pilgrim jus, potato-parsnip mousseline, pickled pears, and market vegetables (Vegetarian option: Creamy mushroom ravioli with fried mushrooms, roasted walnuts, pickled pears, and market vegetables) Dessert: Homemade plum crumble cake with cinnamon ice cream, pilgrim forest beer foam, and caramelized almonds Price: 70 francs per person (including concert) Short hike in the Tannzapfenland (14:00 to 15:00)
After lunch, mountain farmer Köbi Hug leads an approximately 60-minute botany hike through the regional flora and fauna. Participation is free and possible without registration. The hike takes place in any weather.
